Dr. Stephanie Gaston, D.C

Dr Stephanie Gaston was born and raised in Toronto and currently lives in the West End with her husband and three small children.  She has been interested in health and wellness all of her life and has been a chiropractic patient in the interest of optimum health from the age of 5.

Dr. Stephanie Gaston attended the University of Western Ontario (1987-1990) where she studied Biology, and then the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto (1990-1994). After graduating in 1994, she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she had her own practice from 1994-2001. In 2001, Dr. Gaston moved to Toronto where she began practicing with Dr. Shar Rai in the Yonge/ Davisville area.


Dr. Shar Rai, D.C

Dr Shar Rai has had an interest in whole body health from a very young age.  She has been able to share this passion with her husband and two small children, and currently lives in the North End of Toronto. 

Dr. Shar Rai attained a Psychology degree from Queen’s University (1991-1995), and then attended the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois (1995-1999). After graduating in 1999, she practiced for a short time in midtown Toronto and then began her practice in the Yonge/Davisville area with Dr. Gaston.

Today, Dr Gaston and Dr Rai are practicing as wellness-oriented, subluxation based chiropractors in a family clinic. They use a variety of chiropractic techniques and are interested in whole-body health and well-being.


Dr. Anthony Yearwood B Sc., DC (Chiro-Active member of Urban Health Group)

Dr. Yearwood was born in Toronto but in early childhood emigrated to Barbados W.I. for school.  When he returned, he attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a degree in Neuroscience  in 1989.  After completing his undergrad, Dr. Yearwood attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St Louis, Missouri, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997. He then worked for a few years as a researcher at the University of Toronto Medical School and the Toronto General Hospital.

Dr. Yearwood was introduced to Chiropractic as a result of a dislocated shoulder following a gym injury.  He was  referred to a physiotherapist for 2 months and had no appreciable benefit and was then referred to a Chiropractor.

At the present time, Dr. Yearwood lives in the GTA with his wife and two children, who receive regular Chiropractic adjustments to maintain their good health.  He is also Sensei Yearwood and is passionate about martial arts as well as Chiropractic.  Dr. Yearwood practices inclusive Chiropractic care.  This seeks to reduce Subluxations and increase mobility, energy and whole body well-being.

My name is Shelly Reitkop and I am a Naturopathic Doctor serving patients throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Town of Maple.  I work to inspire health by educating, motivating and empowering people to take an active role in their healing journeys.  My goal is to provide the highest quality of care by offering comprehensive, individualized treatments, based on scientific, evidence-based medicine.  I believe in an integrative approach to optimal health and work closely with Medical Doctors and other healthcare providers to treat the root cause of your health concerns.  I work with people of all ages and although I have an eclectic practice, I do have a specialized clinical focus in Digestive, Hormone and Mental Health, as well as Pediatric Health and Women’s Health including Perinatal Care.  I utilize a number of different modalities including: Nutrition and Nutritional Supplementation, Botanical Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine including Hydrotherapy, and Lifestyle Counseling.  I look forward to offering Intravenous Therapies in 2012.  I am an active member of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapies and pleased to be a member of the Canadian Society of Orthomolecular Medicine, Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors, Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Amanda Cooke, BA (Sp. Hons) Kinesiology, RMT.

Amanda studied kinesiology and health science at the University of Western Ontario.  She went on to work in the fitness industry for years as a personal trainer.  This experience exposed her to many different types of bodies with many limitations.  Her interest in the body grew and she went on to obtain a diploma in Massage Therapy from Medix School and became a registered massage therapist through the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. 

Amanda’s approach to massage is clinical and therapeutic focusing on preventing pain and dysfunction and improving overall health.  Her techniques include deep fascial work, Swedish techniques, joint mobilizations, strengthening and stretching, as well as educating clients about self care and remedial exercise programs.
