Jade Arthur, RMT.

Jade graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College in Ottawa and she has been practicing for five years as a Registered Massage Therapist. She knew she wanted to be a Massage Therapist when she participated in a summer career camp at the age of fifteen where a Massage Therapist talked about her work and showed a demonstration. Jade loves her jobs because she enjoys helping people get relief and building long term relationships with her clients.

Her skill sets include Swedish Massage, deep tissue, relaxation, lymphatic drainage and pre-natal massage. In school she gained experience working with pre and post-partum women while working in a hospital outreach program. Through her program, Jade also worked at a veteran’s hospital with seniors in palliative care and schools with disabled and non-verbal children.

In her career, Jade has worked in a variety of massage environments ranging from high end spa where her focus was mainly on full body relaxation, a high end gym where she worked mostly on post workout injuries and flexibility, and lastly, health clinics where she has worked in tandem with other health care professionals such as chiropractors, doctors and physiotherapists.

Jade worked for two years in a motor vehicle accident clinic where she regularly treated clients with whiplash and chronic back pain. She has also frequently treated clients with whiplash, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, degenerative disc disease, neuropathies, lymphedema, scar work, pregnancy, tendintis, headaches, etc. She is also very passionate about stretching and often includes a variety of stretches throughout her massage to help loosen tight muscles. Jade loves what she does and strives every day to do the best work that she can!
