March Break Mode: ON! Paediatric Chiropractic Tips for Growing bodies
What Your Kid’s Spine Has Been Up To…
After a long school year of desks, homework, backpacks and the inevitable screen time, little postural habits can sneak in. Now we transition into March break; full with movie marathons, outdoor sports, trampoline sessions, couch forts and the occasional dramatic wipeout. While kids are amazing at bouncing back, their growing bodies and nervous systems are working hard behind the scenes. March Break is the perfect chance to hit the reset button, get moving and help kids develop routines that keep their bodies strong and balanced.
Paediatric chiropractic care is gentle, safe and designed to support kids of all ages. It’s about helping little bodies stay comfortable, coordinated and resilient as they grow.

3 Playful (But Powerful) Tips for Healthy Kids This March Break
1. Turn Playtime Into Posture Time (Without Them Knowing)
Encourage activities that naturally support posture:
Floor play instead of couch lounging
Balloon tap game - keep a balloon in the air for as long as possible promoting movement in all directions and challenges balance
Turn winter snow angels into spring wall angels - Stand against a wall and slide arms up/down to strengthen shoulder posture.
2. Balance Screens with Spines
For every hour of screen time, long car rides or sitting, build in a “stretch & shake” reset.
Reach for the ceiling then reach for the floor
Twist side to side
Shake arms and legs like a dance party
3. Don’t Ignore the “Big Fall, No Tears” Moment
Sometimes kids fall, pop back up, and say they’re “fine”… but later seem stiff or off. If something feels different, a gentle chiropractic check can help ensure everything is moving as it should.
Why it helps: Small stresses can add up in growing bodies. Growing spines adapt quickly and a quick check can go a long way.
